Government’s Policy Statement released in July 2019 confirms industry promotion and investment attractions are now the responsibility of the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation (JTSI). The Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety remains the agency responsible for the regulation of the petroleum industry and will provide JTSI with any required geological, technical, and regulatory information. The agencies’ websites have been updated to reflect the change.
